Smart Agrifood Observatory activities

The activities characterizing the edition of Smart AgriFood Observatory Research are:

• a Research plan arranged with the Partners of the Observatory aimed at identifying the main innovation opportunities and the corresponding effects on the agricultural and food supply chain through inquiries carried out with relevant firms and through the most appropriate methodologies (cost-benefit analyses, quantitative analyses, case studies, …).
• several meeting and discussing occasions:
  • a workshop to set up the Research reserved to the Observatory’s community (Partners and Sponsors and food and agricultural firms belonging to the whole supply chain);
  • four intermediate workshops to discuss and share with the Observatory’s community the preliminary Research outcomes in order to gather relevant insights;
  • an interactive observatory, dedicated to partners and Advisory Board, to share experiences and debate on current events;
  • several meeting occasions to stimulate the dialogue among all the members of the Observatory’s community on specific topics;
  • a final conference open to the public to present the results of the Research, enriched by speeches given by the Observatory’s Partners and other relevant actors;
  • speeches in events organized by Farmers’ associations and in the main industry fairs.

• Publication of:
• a report that contains the main results of the Research which is distributed when the final conference takes place;
• several in-depth analyses on specific themes distributed as reports, static and dynamic graphs or videos;
• a weekly newsletter comprising key messages stemming from news and research analyzed by the Smart AgriFood Observatory;
• articles and comments on many media.
